I’m a local author, community organizer, and unapologetically political human being. I don’t believe billionaires should exist. I think Amazon is gutting our economy, crushing small businesses, and accelerating climate collapse. And I believe Pittsburgh deserves better — because we already have better. We just need help finding it.
That’s why I started the Pittsburgh People Network — a local-first directory designed to help people vote with their dollars by supporting businesses that reflect progressive values: diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and community care.
This project came out of a personal need to take action. Watching American democracy erode in real time, I couldn’t just sit with the frustration. Organizing — and building something useful — was the only way to feel like I still had agency. I can’t fix everything, but I can connect people to one another. I can make it easier to choose alternatives.
I also run the Pittsburgh Banned Book Club, another small but mighty way to stand up to censorship, uplift marginalized voices, and keep our communities informed and engaged.
If you're here because you care about where your money goes, who your city uplifts, and how we build collective power — welcome. You’re exactly who this is for.
Let’s build something that reflects the Pittsburgh we actually believe in.
